Ahoy - I see no ships...
A brief update on yesterday's wildlife cruise around Ucluelet and the Broken Islands, as pictures speak more than words, and there are some great shots on Facebook. We travelled with Al and Toddy of Archipelago Cruises (http://www.archipelagocruises.com), on an intimate and gentle meander around the Islands.
The weather wasn't great to start with, and is often unpredictable even at this time of year. Despite the gray, we were straight in to sightings of eagles, bears, belted king fishers and blue herons.
We pressed on to the outer islands to sea harbour seals, sea lions, sea otters and porpoises, before lunch in a secluded cove. With almost 6 hrs at sea, it seemed to go in a heartbeat - a really special way to spend our wedding anniversary!
