W123 45.6789

We left Vancouver with a tear in our eyes, but excitement of the crossing to the Island. And we weren't disappointed! Not 30 mins out and we had encountered a pod of Orca whales.

And then, to top it off, we crossed the W123 45.6789 parallel - as a retired directional consultant, I found this very pleasing.

The drive to Ucluelet was incredible, if not slightly busy because of the holiday weekend. We stopped at a waterfall about 40km before our destination.
We could only imagine it in full flow.

Then on to Ucluelet and the most amazing B&B - a treehouse, but with amazing view.

We were recommend to take a nature walk, and it too was simply fab.

And then a walk to dinner, only to spot Elk munching their way through somebody's front yard!

Can't wait for our wild life cruise tomorrow!
