Discovery Park itself was an old military base, called Fort Lawton. Built in the 1890's it had various uses until part was handed over for preservation and recreation.
But highlight had to be seeing the Boeing KC46 developmental aircraft flying past, on only its 9th flight!
Then down for some light house appreciation, and around the coast for coffee at Tulley's - great coffee and cake, but not such a great 'customer experience'.
In the afternoon we travelled the monorail, built World's Fair in 1962 - like Mrs A, it's still going strong (I'll leave the comparisons there...)
And then, to top it all, live music at Space Needle, and chocolate covered strawberries - who could ask for more?
